Home care is essential in maintaining the oral health of your pet. Daily brushing with a soft-brissled tooth brush and toothpaste formulated for cats and dogs is the best way to maintain good oral health. Make sure not to use human toothpaste, because it contains flouride, which can be toxic to pets when swallowed.
We encourage you to have your children participate in the daily brushing of your pet's teeth. It can be a fun and rewarding task for them, and teaches them how to be responsible pet owners.
If you are unable to brush your pet's teeth on a regular basis, mouth rinses that contain antibacterial properties such as Nolvadent, are a great alternative for keeping bacteria at bay and slowing down the accumulation of plaque.
